restaurant style butter chicken,cooked in creamy tomato and nuts gravy



Butter chicken!!!!! I love butter chicken.... It so yummy and tasty.....try this recipe you definitely gonna like it, same as restaurants, to be frank it tastes better than restaurants....

                    This is one of the famous dish across the world.butter chicken is also known as murg makhni means chicken cooked in butter.it have very exotic flavors and taste.every one loves this dish in my family.
 
                   You can serve this dish with butter naan,garlic naan,jeera rice,fried rice, roti,paratha etc.,

                          In punjab they make with tandoori chicken pieces, I will try that recipe and will share with you.but, this butter chicken so yum and so good.if you want exact restaurant style butter chicken, then follow the same recipe and let me know how it turns out for you.

My 1 cup measures 200ml

Ingredients : 


Chicken : 1/2 kg
Hung curd : 1/2 cup
Chopped tomatoes : 250 grams
Chopped medium size onions : 2
butter : 2 tea spoons
Cream : 2 table spoons
Kashmiri chilly powder : 2 tspoon
coriander powder : 2 tspoons
Kasuri methi /dried fenugreek leaves : 1 table spoons
Oil : 2 table spoons
Tomato sauce : 1 table spoon
cashews and almonds : 15 each
 ginger and garlic paste : 1 table spoon
roasted cumin powder : 1 tspoon
Salt to taste
garam masala : 1 tspoon
Coriander leaves : 1/4 cup

Method :


1)first take chicken pieces and add hung curd, 1 tspoon chilly powder,1 tspoon coriander powder,ginger and garlic paste and salt mix well and marinate for 1 hour.

2)now heat oil in pan add marinated chicken pieces and fry till golden Brown on both sides and take them into a bowl.

3)in same pan add onions and saute for 2 minutes.

4)add almonds and cashews saute for 1 minute and add chopped tomatoes cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

5)now add remaining chilly powder,coriander powder,cumin powder and salt.

6)cook till tomatoes are well cooked and switchoff the flame and let it cool completely.

7)now blend this mixture into a fine paste.

8)now take a clean pan add butter and pour blended tomato mixture and saute for few seconds.

9)now pour 2 cups of water and mix well.

10)now add fried chicken pieces to the gravy and cook till chicken is tender by covering the lid.add more water if required.

11)now add tomato sauce and kasuri methi and cook on low flame for 5 to 10 minutes.

12)at last add cream, coriander leaves and cgaram masala and switchoff the flame.

13)enjoy the cream and juicy restaurant style butter chicken!!!!!!!

Take chicken pieces add chilly powder, coriander powder, curd ginger garlic paste and salt

Mix it well and marinate for 1 hour

Now heat oil in a pan and add chicken pieces

Fry on both sides until chicken gets dry, then take them into a plate

Now in same pan add onions

Add nuts and saute them well

Now add tomatoes and saute for 2 to 3 minutes

Now add remaining spice powders

Cook until tomatoes turns soft, then remove from fire

Take this mixture into a blender and let it cool completely

Now blend into a fine paste

Now take a clean pan, add butter

Add blended tomato mixture

Saute for a while

Now add sufficient water

Add fried chicken pieces

Cook it by covering the lid until chicken gets tender (add some water if required)

Now add tomato sauce

Add kasuri methi, cover and cook for 5 to 10 minutes on low flame

Finally add cream

Sprinkle some garam masala powder and coriander leaves and remove from fire

Creamy tasty butter chicken is ready to serve!!!!

Serve hot!!!!!!
