HOMEMADE EASY MARSHMALLOW RECIPE




This was the recipe which I wanted to try from quite long time. We need corn syrup and gelatin to make marshmallows. But my bad luck corn syrup and halal gelatin is not available in my place. But surprisingly on day one of my friend gave me halal gelatin which she bought from saudi arabia, I was really surprised to see halal gelatin in my hand and felt very very happy. But,  I need corn syrup, then I was searching for marshmallow recipe without corn syrup but no use. One fine day I saw this recipe in Facebook group kitchen fantasies then I was surprised!!!! This recipe don't need corn syrup!!!!!

         Then I immediately tried and turned exactly as store bought ones. These are so soft and fluffy just like pillow. Yes, you don't need corn syrup for this recipe. If you have gelatin then you can easily make these marshmallows at home. You need only 5 ingredients to make yummy marshmallows. You can skip color if you don't like.

Ingredients : 

Gelatin : 30 grams
sugar : 250 grams
hot water : 120 ml/1/2 cup
Vanilla essence : few drops
Food color : few drops
Water : 120ml/1/2 cup
corn flour or icing sugar as needed

Method :

First take a square tin grease oil then sprinkle good amount of corn flour or icing sugar and keep this a side

First take 1/2 cup of hot water add gelatin leave it for 10 minutes

Now take a pan add 1/2 cup of water stir continuously Boil until it becomes thick

Now stir gelatin and add to sugar syrup and  boil until It forms a thread when spatula is lifted.

Now remove from fire and this mixture to oven safe glass bowl or steel bowl leave it for 2 minutes then start beating with electric beater

Beat it till it changes into white color and thick Now add essence and color beat it till it comes ribbon consistency 

Now pour this mixture into prepared tin and leave it for over night

Now dip sprinkle some corn flour on top then dip knife in corn flour and cut into pieces. Make sure every time you have to dip knife in corn flour while cutting into pieces to avoid sticking

Now coat each piece in corn flour and serve.

NOTE : YOU CAN ADD ANY COLOR OR FLAVOR AS PER YOUR CHOICE

To demold it well, grease oil to a plastic dish and pour the mixture in it leave for 6 hours or overnight. It will be easy while demolding.
Prepare your mold


Add gelatin to hot water

Leave it for 10 minutes

Take sugar and water in a pan

Stir continuously until it becomes thick

Now add gelatin mix

Stir continuously

It should come to thread consistency and remove from fire

Leave it for couple of minutes

Pour this into a bowl
Start beating


Keep on beating

Beat until it becomes thick

Now add essence and color


Start beating


Beat till becomes to ribbon consistency

Pour this to prepared mold and leave it for overnight

Sprinkle some corn flour on top dip knife in corn flour

Cut them into strips

Demold them

Cut into pieces

Dip them in corn flour or icing sugar
